Connect from a PC

Install the Windows Desktop client

Not compatible with Windows 8 or 8.1. Refer to the bottom of this page for instructions if using either of these Windows versions.

Download and install the client from the link below.

Once installed, the client can be launched from the Start menu by searching for Remote Desktop.  The program icon looks like this: 

Subscribe to a feed
  1. Open the Microsoft Remote Desktop client you installed in the step above.
  2. Select Subscribe.
  3. Sign in with your WP email address and computer password. You may receive a prompt to authenticate with the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone, if so approve the sign-on.
  4. You should see on icon named Remote Desktop.  Double click on the icon to launch the remote connection.  Enter your computer password at the prompt.
  5. At the Duo prompt, approve the sign-in using the Duo Mobile app on your smartphone.
  6. Each subsequent time you need to connect remotely, launch the Remote Desktop app from your Start Menu and double click the Remote Desktop icon.

Connect from a Mac

Install the client

Download and install the Microsoft Remote Desktop app on your macOS device.

Subscribe to a feed
  1. Open the Microsoft Remote Desktop client you installed in the step above.
  2. Select Workspaces from the top menu bar.
  3. Select Add Workspace on the main page.
  4. Enter the feed URL: https://rdweb.wvd.microsoft.com
  5. Select Add.
  6. Sign in with your WP email address and computer password. You may receive a prompt to authenticate with the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone, if so, approve the sign-on.
  7. You should see on icon named Remote Desktop.  Double click on the icon to launch the remote connection.  Enter your WP email address and computer password at the prompt.
  8. At the Duo prompt, approve the sign-in using the Duo Mobile app on your smartphone.
  9. Each subsequent time you need to connect remotely, launch the Remote Desktop app and double click the Remote Desktop icon.

Connect from an iPad or iPhone

Applies to: iOS 13.0 or later

Install the iOS client

Download and install the Microsoft Remote Desktop Mobile app on your iOS device. You can search for Microsoft Remote Desktop Mobile in the App Store.

Subscribe to a feed
  1. Open the Remote Desktop Mobile app you installed from the link above, tap Workspaces at the bottom of the screen, then tap the “+” icon on the top right, tap Add Workspace.
  2. Enter your WP email address, tap Next.
  3. Sign in with your WP email address and computer password.  You may receive a prompt to approve the sign-in through the Microsoft Authenticator app on your iPhone.
  4. The remote connection shortcut should be displayed in the Workspaces list.
  5. Launch the remote connection by tapping on the Remote Desktop shortcut.
  6. Enter your WP email address and computer password.
  7. At the Duo prompt, approve the sign-in using the Duo Mobile app on your smartphone.
  8. Each subsequent time you need to connect remotely, launch the Remote Desktop app and tap the Remote Desktop icon.

Windows 8 or 8.1

Using Google Chrome, click the link below to access the remote system directly through the browser. When prompted, use your WP email address and computer password to sign in.
